At home, I run a network of several computers that I use for work. The network is comprised of:
- Dell Precision M60 - "Starscream"
(Pentium M @ 1.7GHz (400MHz FSB), 1024MB RAM, 60GB 7200rpm disk, Windows XP Pro) Acquired December 23, 2003.
- PowerMac G5 - "Gloria" (II)
(Dual PowerPC G5 @ 2.0GHz (1GHz FSB), 1024MB RAM, 160GB SATA disk, MacOS X 10.2 Jaguar) Acquired October 16, 2003.
"Gloria" is a large luxury sport sedan, and dates back to the late 1950s. Most recently sold in the United States
as the Infiniti M45 (2003 - ).
- Custom - "Skyline" (II)
(Pentium 4 @ 2.6GHz (Northwood, 800MHz FSB), 1024MB RAM, 120GB disk, Windows XP Pro) Acquired August 14, 2003.
"Skyline" is Nissan's luxury-sport coupe/sedan line, which dates back to the late 1950s.

Obsolete Systems
Past systems, no longer in use:
- Custom - "Moco"
(AMD Athlon XP 2600, 512MB RAM, 40GB Disk, Windows 2000) Acquired April 18, 2004.
"Moco" is a ultra-compact hatchback sold only in Japan.
- Dell Inspiron 8100 - "Silvia"
(Pentium III-m @ 1.2GHz, 512MB RAM, 40GB disk, Windows XP Pro). Acquired March, 2002.
Acquired in February 2002."Silvia" was Nissan's compact RWD sports coupe from 1965 - 2002.
(Most recently sold in the United States as the Nissan 240SX, 1989 - 1998)
- Dell Precision 210 - "Gabrielle"
(Pentium III @ 500MHz, 512MB RAM, 12GB disk, Windows 2000, Longhorn and Windows 98).
Used for various things over the years, initially my primary development machine, now it's a Firebird
Windows tinderbox and nightly build machine.
- Compaq EVO - "Gazelle"
(Pentium 4 @ 2.53GHz, 1024MB RAM, 30GB disk, Windows XP Pro). Retired July 15, 2003.
Acquired May 2003. "Gazelle" was a hatchback version of the Datsun Silvia sports coupe, from the early 1980s.
(Most recently sold in the United States as the 200SX, early 1980s)
- HP Vectra VL-800 - "Leopard"
(Pentium 4 @ 1.5GHz, 512MB RAM, 17GB SCSI disk, Redhat Linux 9.0). Retired July 15, 2003.
Acquired May 2003. The "Leopard" name was applied to a variety of cars over the years, usually
big luxurious coupes (early 80s) but most recently to a large, strangely styled sedan last sold
in the United States in the late 1990s as the Infiniti J30. Japanese models included the
J.Ferie with 4.1 litre VK41DE V8.
- PowerBook G4 - "Skyline"
(G4 @ 550MHz, 768MB RAM, 60GB disk, MacOS X 10.1.4 & 9.2) Retired July 15, 2003.

Acquired in February 2000, primary equipment when travelling.
"Bluebird" is Nissan's compact/mid-size sedan line, known as Stanza, Altima and Pintara in some
markets, and as numeric series (e.g. 410, 510, etc) in others. (Most recently sold in the United States
as the Nissan Altima, 1993 - 1997)
- HP Kayak XA-s - "Cefiro"
(Pentium III @ 500MHz, 128MB RAM, 8GB disk, Red Hat Linux 7.2). Retired May 6, 2003.
AOL property. Acquired in January 2000, used occasionally for linux testing but superceded by
Silverstone. "Cefiro" was a large six cylinder sport/luxury sedan from the late 80s through 2002.
(Newer versions sold recently in the United States as the Infiniti I30/I35, 2000 - )
- Power Macintosh Blue & White - "Gloria"
(G3 @ 450MHz, 384MB RAM, 98GB disk, MacOS X 10.1.3 & 9.2) Retired May 6, 2003.
AOL property. Acquired in January 2000. Used daily as a Mac build/testing machine, however
ongoing hardware problems/incompatibilities with OS X limit its usefulness.

- PC Direct Discovery (Cyrix 486DLC-40 @ 25MHz, 8MB RAM, 170MB disk, Windows 3.11 for Workgroups) Retired July 1997 - used
for all activity from March 1994 - July 1997.
